Today, we explore how understanding your Human Design Bodygraph can profoundly impact decision-making in business, career building, and leaving a legacy.
Recently, I revisited my design, reflecting on my bodygraph, and how I'm meant to engage with the world. Going back to basics like this actually wound up saving me over $100,000! This reflection came during a vacation, where daily walks provided clarity. I realized that my physical health is crucial to my life's work, a lesson learned the hard way during my transition from IBM to entrepreneurship.
The Turning Point
Three years ago, I committed to entering my fifties in optimal health, both physically and mentally. This journey began with simple steps: regular walking and embracing my natural hair color. These changes coincided with a deeper understanding of my physiological needs, particularly as I approached significant life milestones like perimenopause.
The concept of the three-legged stool emerged from my reflections. The legs represent:
- Aesthetic: Our outward appearance and efforts in anti-aging.
- Physiological: Understanding and managing our body's internal changes, especially during menopause.
- Purpose: Mental goal-setting and intentional life design.
Menopause significantly impacts our physiology. The work of experts like Dr. Mary Claire has been invaluable in understanding these changes. Estrogen fluctuations affect our entire body, emphasizing the need for comprehensive health strategies.
Rethinking Credentials
As I dove deeper on this, an internal struggle arose as I compared myself to experts with advanced degrees. I felt like I needed to have those big credentials in order to be taken seriously enough to get my message out into the world. Because of this, I considered pursuing a PhD for credibility, but my design urged patience. By honoring my decision-making strategy and allowing emotions to settle, I realized my true path thus saving me over $100,000 to pursue a PhD.
Embracing My Human Design
I’m a 2/4 Natural Influencer and my 11 Gene Key for my Purpose. My design emphasizes personal experience and storytelling over formal credentials. Like Oprah Winfrey, who influences through shared experiences rather than academic titles, I am meant to guide others through my journey and insights.
Understanding and aligning with your design is transformative. It shapes how others perceive and interact with you, ensuring success and fulfillment.
